In December 2008, the Mildura region had a total labour force of 30,850. Changes in the labour force over the past years have been accentuated in the Mildura region, as increases (and decreases) in the labour force in Victoria and New South Wales have changed. This trend could be caused by some large seasonal aspects of the labour force, which is connected to the agriculture and horticulture sectors.
