Marian Luehman appointed new Board
Director - 9 July, 2007
Marian Luehman, Chief Executive Officer at Sunraysia Residential
Services Inc (SRS) has been appointed as a Director of the Sunraysia
Mallee Economic Development Board (SMEDB).
The Sunraysia Mallee
Economic Development Board consists of nine directors from local
industry and representatives from Mildura Rural City Council
and Wentworth Shire Council.
The Board is responsible for setting
the strategic direction and making decisions to actively attract
and retain investment within the region.
Ms Luehman brings to
the Board a community perspective as she has worked in human
services for over 28 years.
Ms Luehman was awarded Business Woman
of the Year by the Australian Federation of Business and Professional
Women in 1999. In 2001 she was awarded a Department of Human
Services Study and Travel scholarship in recognition for expertise
and abilities and in 2006 was awarded Outstanding Contribution
by an Individual at the Powercor Prime Business Excellence Awards.
Ms Luehman has dedicated over ten years in voluntary roles with
the Office of Public Advocate of Victoria and is also member
on state, national and regional boards and committees representing
people with disabilities.
The Sunraysia Mallee Economic Development
Board welcomes the leadership and governance experience that
Ms Luehman brings to the Board.
Directors reappointed to the
Board are Mike Mooney, Area General Manager for Telstra CountryWide
and Gary Simpson, CEO of Sunraysia Murray Group Training.
